Chromoly is the larger, more developed brother of Hi-Tensile steel. Chromoly steel is lightweight, solid, and flexible while still retaining its shape. It is a steel alloy containing chromium and molybdenum, making it lighter, more durable, and more “high – end” than Hi-Tensile steel. Bikes made of Chromoly material are generally safer for people who ride their bikes in more demanding situations. Since Chromoly steel is much more costly to produce, Chromoly BMX bikes are slightly expensive; nevertheless, these bikes are lighter, more reliable, and lifespans.

BMX Race Bikes

Actual BMX bikes were famous in the early 1960s. They were dirt bikes designed to race around berms and over jumps and looked like motocross bikes. They were quickly acquired by children, racers, and non-racers alike.

Even if you don’t want to race, you can enjoy BMX bikes for their precise handling and nimbleness. Standard features include two or four-piece handlebars, 20-inch wheels, long cranks, powerful rear hand brakes, and compact seats. The frames are solid and light, and the more expensive they are, the lighter they get.

Aluminium or Chromoly steel make up the bulk of BMX bikes. Chromoly BMX frames are a little heavier, but they’re a lot less expensive.

Aluminium frames are lighter than steel frames and are often constructed from oversize or exotically moulded tubing. Aluminium is rustproof in addition to being lighter. So, when your frame gets scratched, there is no need to hurry to fix it

The brake mounts on BMX race bikes are mounted on the upper end of the seat stays. This allows for the use of a more efficient linear-pull brake. Take note of how big the chainring is. This helps spread the pedal force across more chain links and also is safer whenever you’ve loaded up the pedals with resistance looking for the barrier to drop at the beginning of a race.

BMX bikes are distinct in many respects, including the presence of pegs on which the racer can stand when performing a variety of tricks and handlebars that can rotate completely around. The scale of a BMX bike should be determined by the rider’s height.

Freestyle and racing BMX bikes are the two types of BMX bikes. A racing bike aims to have the rider around the track as rapidly as possible. This implies they make every effort to be as light as possible.  Freestyle BMX bikes are designed with tricks in mind. This means they’ll need to be a little more durable, as they’ll almost certainly be knocked around.

BMX race bikes are also available in a variety of frame sizes. Based on the rider’s age, we’ve created a chart that shows the estimated fit.  Additionally, the Pro and Expert bikes are occasionally available in XL (Extra Long) sizes.
